Joshua has extensive construction and project management background. He graduated from The Landing School in Kennebunk, Maine, a school that teaches its students about boating building and construction. At that school, he learned about design, construction and how to organize and manage complicated projects. He moved to Florida where he worked as a project manager for a Flooring and Design company overseeing renovation projects that ranged from $5,000 to $200,000. From there he began work for Advanced Property Solutions (APS). APS specializes in implementing smart solutions to resolve what would have been an extensive renovation if done the traditional way. Before turning to real estate full time, Joshua worked for BTB Electric as a foreman and project manager.

In 2019 Joshua and his father, Stephen, purchased an 18 unit apartment complex that needed extensive work, both on the structures and in place management systems. Joshua managed all the daily operations including leasing, maintenance, tenant relations and rent collection. The complex needed in excess of $200k in renovations and Joshua managed all of the renovation projects while he was working full time with BTB Electric. From the beginning, they implemented smart systems to assist with management, tenant relations and financial controls. Given the significant renovations, maintaining good tenant relations and retention were important parts of managing this successful operation. Tenant retention has been over 85% throughout all capital expenditure projects.
